
Background
In memorial of Walt Kruger, his family and friends have established a scholarship fund for students in areas of Walt's interest and profession. The tournament is wholly funded from the proceeds of the annual golf tournament and gracious sponsor donations.
Available Scholarships
Available scholarships are dependent upon annual funding. Past scholarships have ranged from $1000 to $3500 per recipient, with multiple scholarship given each year.
Eligibility Requirements
1) Completed scholarship application forms must be post marked by June 1st, 2010 and mailed to the Walt Kruger Memorial Fund (address on application). Please click application link at the left for application choices.
2) Applicant must have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and submit his/her current transcripts (or class schedule for 1st year students) with proof of declared major or course of study.
3) Preference will be placed on students having an intended or declared major in a field relating to the aviation industry such as electronics and avionics, airframe and power plant, engineering, airway sciences, etc. Other academic fields will be considered if they demonstrate a strong academic emphasis and interest in the aviation industry.
4) Awards will be based on course of study, academic achievement, and extra curricular activities.
5) To be eligible for a Walt Kruger Memorial Scholarship, you must either be actively employed by Cirrus Design or be the child of a current active employee of Cirrus Design.
